Young Songwriters Showcase Nova Scotia…

Starting out as a singer-songwriter can be challenging and one of the best things to do is to perform. Opportunities can be limited so these showcase events are an intimate, welcoming & safe space for up & coming writers to share songs on a stage with a small audience, sound system and support.

The general public are welcome and encouraged to attend! It usually lasts about 2 hours with one set, a short break and a second set of music. Depending on the number of participants (usually 4) the writers play 2 to 4 songs each, in a ’round’ style, doing one song each on each round.

We do ask for ‘pay what you can’ donations to support the cause, advertising, equipment, sponsoring workshop participants, etc.

The event may be recorded and selected songs may be included on our radio show/podcast.
