Young Songwriters Showcase will resume late September 2026. Email us to get on the list!

Starting out as a singer-songwriter can be challenging and one of the best things to do is to perform. Opportunities can be limited so these showcase events are an intimate, welcoming & safe space for up & coming Nova Scotia songwriters to share songs on a stage with a small audience, sound system and support.

We usually hold these on a Sunday afternoon so it is easy for family and friends to attend and cheer the artists on (and still get homework done!)

The general public are welcome and encouraged to attend! You can reserve a eat or table as well by calling the restaurant. It usually lasts about 2 hours with one set, a short break and a second set of music. Depending on the number of participants (usually 4) the writers play 2 to 4 songs each, in a ’round’ style.

We had our first showcase on September 29th 2024 and we had a great time! Here’s the video

We do ask for ‘pay what you can’ donations to support the cause, advertising, equipment, sponsoring workshop participants, etc.

The event may be recorded and selected songs may be included on our radio show/podcast.
