Every 2nd & 4th Wednesdays, starting September 11th, 2024 there are informal songwriters meetups at The Pink Piano Café & Lounge @ 585 Sackville Drive, Lower Sackville. These sessions start @ 7 PM and run for ~2 hours.

Meetups are open to anyone who wants to attend to just listen or those who wish to share original songs they are working on. Details & link to sign up below.

• time slots are approx 8 minutes to allow for brief discussion after playing your song. (if time permits we may go longer or have a second round)
• Please do not introduce/explain the song prior. An anecdote about what inspired the song, fine, but telling us what it is about before playing it does not help you to find out if the message you want to convey in the song is clear to the audience. If you can’t get your idea / emotion across without preamble and explanation, that’s a clue to keep working it.
• THIS IS A SAFE SPACE. Don’t be a jerk. All ages & persuasions have a right to be here. ‘Jerk’ y-ness = ejection in to outer space.\
• We may have zoom attendees and guests, either as ‘feature’ writers or presenters
• we may have hybrid sessions with songwriters coming in ‘from away’. Details TBA
  
• We have a couple of other options for singers as well, but only if desired….
  
• You can ask for feedback/critique from those in attendance OR NOT. Simply playing the song is enough. (note: critique is NOT criticism, read this for more on giving/getting critique)
• we may record audio of the sessions and share with you, privately later on, via the SFHAA Youtube channel, if desired.
• If recorded we may use in the SFHAA radio show & podcast but only with your consent.
